A working session was held Thursday by Tunisia CONECT International with Nigeria’s Foreign Minister Geoffrey Onyeama who was accompanied by an important delegation.
The meeting turned on the possibility of co-operation between the two countries and on fostering bilateral relations within a framework that favours investment and export.
The meeting was co-chaired by CONECT President Tarak Cherif and CONECT International President Monia Essaidi, with attendance of Director General of Political, Economic and Co-operation Affairs for Africa and the African Union Karim Ben Becher and Vice-Presidents of CONECT Interantional Adnen Bouassida, Issam Ben Youssef and Mongia Amara.
Tunisian economic operators in the food, energy and renewables, pharmaceutical, banking, construction industry, real estate and health sectors actively exchanged views with the minister to promote and operationalise trade between both countries.
The minister presented Nigeria’s various assets and pointed out the country’s gradual improvement in matters of business climate.
