The Future Awards Africa Independent (TFAAi) has unveiled the nominees for its inaugural state awards across Rivers, Abia, Oyo and Kano States, recognising young Nigerians making outstanding contributions in their communities.
The nominees cut across sectors including entrepreneurship, technology, education, governance, journalism, agriculture, fashion, arts, health, public service, social impact and community development, highlighting the impact of young Nigerians across different fields.
Nominees Reflect Diverse Talents Across States
In Rivers State, notable nominees include Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu (Sabinus) in Content Creation, Gloria Ojukwu in Technology, Beauty Ajayi in Entrepreneurship, Ibim Cookey in Arts, and Landlady (Rajini Amakiri) in On-Air Personality.
For Abia State, nominees include Chiemela Anosike in Entrepreneurship and Technology and Innovation, Klasikal Chinedu Okoro in Creative Excellence, Juliet Adaeze in Entrepreneurship, Elizabeth Chijioke in Public Service, and Daberechi Ekejiuba in Youth Advocacy.
In Oyo State, the list features Rasaq Malik Gbolahan in Literature, Omotoyosi Odufuye in Education, Kashif Bolarinwa in Health and Wellness, Tope James Moses in Technology, and Kehinde Samuel Njoku in Film.
Meanwhile, Kano State nominees include Dr. Zainab Lawal Gwadabe in Agriculture, Khairat Muhammad Ibrahim in Entrepreneurship, Yusuf Ibrahim Sharada in Governance, Ismail Auwal in Journalism, and Amal Umar in Acting.
Awards Bring Recognition Closer to the Grassroots
The inaugural state awards mark a new chapter for The Future Awards Africa (TFAA) by taking its celebration of excellence closer to the grassroots and recognising young Nigerians whose work is making a difference within their states and communities.
Razaq: Nominees Are Driving Transformation
Speaking on the announcement, Executive Director of The Future Awards Africa, Ayodeji Razaq, said the nominees reflect the resilience and innovation of Nigeria’s young people.
“This year’s nominees reflect the diversity and resilience of young Nigerians who are solving problems, creating opportunities, and driving transformation within their respective states. Their work embodies the vision of TFAAi to celebrate those whose contributions are shaping stronger communities and inspiring the next generation of changemakers. We are honoured to spotlight their stories, preserve their contributions as part of Africa’s collective memory, and excited for the mark they will leave on generations to come,” Razaq said.
Organisers Congratulate Nominees
The Future Awards Africa Independent congratulated all nominees, describing the recognition as a celebration of their commitment to innovation, leadership and service. The organisation said it looks forward to honouring the nominees at the inaugural state awards while encouraging more young Nigerians to continue creating positive change in their communities.
