Uber has said that over 1.8 million active riders are using its app since the company was launched in Africa four years ago.
Uber, in a statement marking the anniversary in Africa, said the company has brought many benefits to riders.
According to the statement, Uber General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, Alon Lits, said currently it has over 29,000 driver-partners taking advantage of its earning opportunities.
He said drivers loved being as flexible, earning what they want, when they want whether it is a full-time or someone looking to supplement their income.
Lits said ongoing commitment to driver-partners was a key priority ensuring they receive the latest in technological innovations means they can be at the top of their game.
