In a recent statement, Dr. Kayode Adegoke, Head of Corporate Communications at NIMC, assured that all equipment and personnel across the Commission’s registration centers—both within Nigeria and in the diaspora—are functioning smoothly. The centers are fully operational for enrollment, verification, authentication, and data modification.
Dr. Adegoke highlighted that NIMC’s over 10,000 enrollment centers nationwide are available to Nigerians and legal residents for NIN enrollment. He encouraged those yet to obtain their NIN to visit any of these centers before the impending deadline.
“The Commission is fully prepared to meet the September 14, 2024 deadline for NIN-SIM linkage,” the statement noted. “NIMC is committed to ensuring that all services, including data modifications, are carried out seamlessly. For those wishing to update their NIN information, this can be done through the NIMC Self-Service Portal, subject to applicable terms and conditions.”
