The Lagos State Government on Monday declared plans to implement fractional confinement of development for drivers in Agege hub to quicken the progressing development of Pen Cinema Flyover beginning from January 4, 2018.
The State Government said there would be an entire shutdown of the streets in the area sooner or later amid the development however that it would begin with fractional restriction of movement.
While guaranteeing that satisfactory game plans have been solidified to alleviate the effect of the closure of the streets on drivers and occupants, Hotonu said traffic diversion have been made to guarantee simplicity of movement along the passage.
The construction of the flyover over the Pen Cinema crossing point at Agege set out upon by the administration of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode was a piece of the consistent drive to ease activity inside the city and enhance the State economy.
As per him, “To facilitate the development of the Pen Cinema flyover, the State Government will redirect activity at the Pen Cinema convergence beginning from Thursday, January 4, 2018.
“The routes for the diversion for the flyover are as follow; Vehicles coming from Ogba/Oba Ogunji except Articulated vehicles are expected to come in through Ijaiye Low Cost Housing Estate to link Iju Road, while Articulated Vehicles and other vehicles plying this axis have the option of either turning right towards Iju Road at the Pen Cinema intersection or left towards Moshalashi Alhaja.
“Similarly, vehicles coming from Iju Road should go towards Moshalashi Alhaja or turn towards Oba Ogunji/ Ogba as the turning towards the right to the Railway crossing will remain closed.
