He expressed his concerns, stating, “The person I succeeded had no respect for the people, for women, and encouraged vices like prostitution and human trafficking. When I came into office, pensioners wore black on Labour Day, but today they wear white.”

Obaseki further highlighted his administration’s achievements, mentioning job creation for youths and improvements in the state’s security. “When I took office, our youths were unemployed, but today, they have jobs. After eight years, is Edo not one of the safest states in Nigeria?” he asked the crowd.

In a decisive call to action, the governor urged citizens to vote for the PDP, adding, “This election is a do-or-die. If they attempt to rig, we are ready to fight. By this time next Saturday, cast your votes for the PDP to secure victory.”
