Ilevbaoje Imoukhuede Uadamen, a Nigerian civic technology innovator, transparency advocate, and entrepreneur, is leveraging technology to promote government accountability and citizen engagement through his platform, MonitNG (monitng.com). The UK-based innovator, who is also a Tech Nation Global Talent Visa endorsee, has dedicated over a decade to enabling Nigerians to track public projects, monitor budgets, and foster transparency in governance.

MonitNG, founded and led by Imoukhuede Uadamen, empowers citizens to monitor the progress of public projects, access critical public data, and report irregularities, bridging the gap between government institutions and the people they serve. The platform builds on his prior experience as Head/Project Manager at Tracka, a community tracking initiative launched in 2014 by BudgIT, where he helped expose abandoned projects, fund misallocation, and other irregularities in constituency and zonal intervention projects (ZIPs).

Imoukhuede Uadamen’s work has earned recognition both locally and internationally. He was selected as an Obama Foundation Leader Africa in 2019, joining a cohort of emerging leaders across the continent, and has been featured in outlets such as Al Jazeera, Sahara Reporters, Daily Trust, and The Nation, discussing topics ranging from anti-corruption strategies to budget transparency and citizen participation in governance.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with NGOs, international funders, and organizations like the UN Development Programme and Open Society Initiative to strengthen oversight, needs-based funding, and civic participation in public finance. He has also mentored young professionals in programs like the We Are Family Foundation and community journalism fellowships.

With MonitNG, Ilevbaoje Imoukhuede Uadamen continues to champion civic technology in Nigeria, advancing the use of data and digital tools to hold governments accountable, improve public service delivery, and ensure citizens’ voices are heard in decision-making processes.
