The Federal Government under President Muhammadu Buhari has just entered three new bilateral agreements with the Kingdom of Morocco under His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development – Chief Audu Ogbeh and his Moroccan counterpart – Mr Aziz Akhannouch signed the cooperation agreement on vocational training and technical support, which will enhance capacity for agricultural management in Nigeria.
The Nigerian President arrived Morocco yesterday for a two-day working trip to the North Africa nation.
The three agreements are towards Agricultural Cooperation, a Gas Pipeline and a Basic Chemicals Platform.
The Nigeria – Morocco Gas Pipeline (NMGP), designed to be 5,660km long in construction will reduce gas flaring in Nigeria and encourage diversification of energy resources in the country, while cutting down poverty through the creation of more job opportunities.
Further discussions will focus on strengthening existing agreements on the fertiliser industry, education cooperation.
