The movement will go through the office of the Lagos State Governor, the Deputy Governor, Speaker of the State’s House of Assembly, office of International Affairs and Foreign Investment (Lagos Global) and few other ministries.
The statement further state that the objective of the sensitisation is to ‘first and foremost engage the government on the importance of the set goals, the need to hit the ground running in terms of implementing them come January 2016, discuss the implementation plans and how the Lagos state Government can incorporate them in the existing Lagos development Plan (2012-2025), also integrating them in their policies, laws and other governance activities’.
The organisers enjoin the people to participate in the awareness and sensitisation campaign emphasizing that the implementation of the SDG plans is a responsibility of all.
