News Update: Buhari Signs Agreement With International Company Over Railway Contract

President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration has just entered a concession agreement with an international consortium for the interim phase over the Nigerian narrow-gauge railway.

At Washington DC in the United States, Buhari is expected to meet with various stakeholders on transportation, aviation and other sectors of the economy with the intention to boosten Nigeria’s foreign enterprises with the United States.

The  first of the agreements to be negotiated in US by the Nigerian President has been signed with General Electric comprising GE, SinoHydro, Transnet and APM Terminals.

The program is expected to deliver an increase in the number of available locomotives, thus increasing the frequency of passenger and freight rail services.
