Microsoft promised to provide free software support to Not-for-profit organizations in Nigeria.
Mr Olusola Amosun, Corporate Citizenship Lead, Microsoft Nigeria, said this during the Tech4Good Day organized by PINigeria on the 11th of May 2016.
Giving back to society is considered by Microsoft as a very important part of their values, Olusola said. Microsoft is committed to being relevant to their immediate environment and to do this they empower the Non-profit segment so as to reach the under-served.
Olusola also promised that Microsoft will give $1 Billion worth of cloud resources to Non-governmental organization in order to give the right level of visibility to them.
“The cause that NGOs drive is something noble and dear to the heart of Microsoft and we are here to support that.” Olusola said.
To buttress this he gave out contact details through which the NGOs present could easily reach Microsoft for support, which he promised will be timely. He also trained the participants, who were all key executives of various non profit organizations, on how to use Microsoft products for productivity and to cut costs.
