“We are investing in schools, building and upgrading healthcare facilities, improving security, and delivering practical interventions that raise the quality of life across the state” said the Governor.

He further made mention of the challenges they need to tackle in this year, such as The Balogun Market fire and the difficult but necessary work along the Ebute Metta coastline, and how it reminds him and the people of Lagos why infrastructure and service delivery must keep improving. “This budget gives us the capacity to respond better and prepare Lagos for growth,” He stated.

In His closing statement, He emphasized that the focus of the budget is to renew infrastructure, expand transport, support agriculture, back MSMEs, create jobs, and grow the economy in a way that benefits more people.

“We will spend responsibly, and ensure value for money. Lagosians deserve nothing less,” he said.

The 2026 ‘Budget of Shared Prosperity’ is anchored on four strategic pillars, aligned with the evolved T.H.E.M.E.S+ Agenda and the Parastatal Monitoring Framework.
