DRAC to celebrate people with disabilities

As part of activities to mark this year’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Disability Right Centre (DRAC ) will tomorrow host journalist at a press briefing in Abuja.

The briefing will hold at the Nigeria’s office of Health Reform Foundation located at Asokoro, Abuja.

The one-day event is organised to discuss the improvement of the Nigeria’s health sector to cater for people with disabilities and reproductive health for women and girls with disabilities.

The briefing according to the organisers  is also in preparation for the ‘100walk’, a peace carnival scheduled to hold on the 10th pf December to  campaign for improved access for women and girls with disabilities.

The International Day of People with Disabilities is an annual  event observed every 3rd of November to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilise support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities worldwide.

The 2015 celebration is tagged ‘inclusion matters: access to people of all abilities.’
