In a significant move for the domestic energy market, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) by N25 per litre.
Effective immediately, the refinery’s ex-depot rate has dropped from N799 to N774 per litre. The management communicated the price adjustment to petroleum marketers on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, noting that the new rate applies nationwide.
“This is to notify you of a change in our PMS gantry price from N799 per litre to N774 per litre,” the refinery stated in its official notice to stakeholders on X.
The price cut is expected to bolster the competitiveness of locally refined fuel against foreign imports. Currently, the landing price of imported PMS from Lome is estimated at N793 per litre, making Dangote’s locally produced fuel N19 cheaper than the imported alternative.
This development marks a continuing shift in the country’s petroleum landscape as the refinery seeks to stabilize supply and provide cost-effective energy solutions for the Nigerian market.
