The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Attahiru Ibrahim Is dead.
TOS TV gathered that the army boss alongside his wife Mrs Fati Attahiru, the National president of the Nigerian Officer’s Wives Association (NAOWA) and 10 other aides, died in a plane crash on his way back from Kaduna state due to bad weather caused by heavy rainfall.
Maj. Gen. Attahiru replaced Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai as the Chief of Army Staff following his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari in January 2021.
