The President of Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Biodun Ogunyemi, has said that the union will oppose any endeavor to increase educational cost and expenses in the nation’s state funded tertiary institutions.
He likewise said ASUU could go on strike if the administration neglected to take care of its demand on sufficient financing of the establishments and payment of compensations.
Mr. Biodun said the union would not acknowledge any hike in expenses by state or governments.
“We won’t endure any endeavor to increase educational cost charge, we are against advising individuals to pay all the more, even the present expenses, we are as yet battling them, we as a body have dependably remained against charge augmentation and we will keep on standing against it,” he said.
He also opposed of reports of a conceivable increment in educational cost expenses in universities by the federal government.
