Immediate past governor of Akwa Ibom state, Godswill Akpabio, escapes death in an auto crash in Abuja today.
He was rushed and admitted to National Hospital, Abuja, after being involved in a motor accident this morning. His siren-blaring convey is said to have crashed into other vehicles, injuring him but the extent of injury was not immediately disclosed by the doctors at the National Hospital, who claimed that it was the family that had the right to do so.
It was learnt that the incumbent State Governor Udom Emmanuel has visited his predecessor at the National Trauma Center of the National Hospital.
