Gabriel Ogunjobi –

Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth & Advancement (YIAGA), the lead movement that sponsored the historic #NotTooYoungToRun bill’ that got an executive assent on Thursday, has now aired its stance over the already written record.

The campaigners maintained that their belief is hinged on Nigerian youths who are morally competent and ready to take over the various public offices in the country.

“the young people we expect into public office are young people who are morally competent,  and we believe that there are young people who are out there who are”, the group said.

Having seen the reality of its core objective through President’s assent to the bill that gives inclusiveness in governance, YIAGA also established that the movement is not discriminatory of any young person including the physically-challenged.

“the #nottooyoungtorun movement is inclusive of all genders, both men and women,  and also of people living with disabilities. no young person will be excluded or discriminated”, it noted.

Admitting the united efforts of all Nigerian especially the youths as the reason for the success, the group ended saying: “see this as not just a victory for the #nottooyoungtorun movement,  but as your victory!”, via the official page on Twitter.
