Popular instant messaging app, WhatsApp crashed on Friday morning, upsetting millions of its users for over an hour.
During the down time, the web-based application did not allow its users to send or receive messages
WhatsApp has confirmed it is working on a solution to the problem but it is now known how long it will take to resolve it.
The app crashed at about 9am in Nigeria with thousands across the country reporting it was down.
