United Nations Development Programme, UNDP, has urged the Federal Government to collaborate with Civil Society Organisations, CSOs, in the ongoing anti-corruption fight in the country.
Team Leader of an organ of the UNDP, Good Governance and Peace Building, Kehinde Bolaji, made the call today in a paper he presented at a workshop in Saminaka, Kaduna State.
The workshop with ‘Working Together for Better Future; Sharing Responsibilities and Building Effective Partnerships’ as theme, was organised by United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, UNOC.
Bolaji said the workshop was organised to bridge the gap between CSOs and anti-corruption institutions, and urged government to strengthen the anti-graft agencies for capacity to combat the vice.
He advised government at all levels to involve the CSOs in decision-making process that could add value to strategies for wiping out corruption.
