The State Special Environmental Sanitation Taskforce today had a hectic time discongesting the Oshodi / Abeokuta Expressway.
Our Reporter, Femi Afolayan, who was at the scene of the operation reports that members of the task force towed about ten commuter buses droping and picking passengers under the bridge at Iyana Ipaja.
Traders who had turned the side walks and one lane of the expressway to illegal market were restricted to few metres away from the sidewalks, from Iyana Ipaja bus stop to Ile – Epo, while commuter buses were compelled to drop or pick passengers at recognised bus stops.
Some commuters, private car owners and passers – by who spoke with our reporter advised the State Government to draft law enforcement agencies for enforcement of traffic laws on regular basis to return sanity along the busy expressway.
