In a bid to increase and make sign-language interpretation service available within the health systems of Nigeria, Ipas with support from the Australian Aid has launched the free sign-language interpreters’ service in hospitals.
The service which will cater for the deaf kick-started on Monday 29th August, 2016.
According to the initiators, the free sign-language service will bridge the communication gap between the deaf clients and the health workers especially in Abuja and its environs.
