Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has urged heads of government agencies and parastatals to renew their commitment to building a better Lagos. Speaking through Commissioner Tokunbo Wahab at a retreat for agency heads, Sanwo-Olu emphasized the importance of exceptional results, good governance, and sustainable development.
He expressed gratitude to the agency heads for their dedication and service, highlighting the retreat as an opportunity to assess progress and re-evaluate priorities. Sanwo-Olu stressed that good governance is a continuous process, aiming to transform Lagos into a 21st-century economy that is inclusive, prosperous, and sustainable.
The governor also emphasized the role of technology in improving governance, citing the Lagos Smart City initiative and the LAG ID Project as examples. He encouraged agency heads to think bigger, work smarter, and serve better, ensuring that their decisions and policies positively impact Lagosians.
Sanwo-Olu’s administration has focused on improving infrastructure, boosting the economy, and ensuring public safety. As the 15th governor of Lagos State, he has worked to make Lagos Africa’s model mega-city, a global economy, and financial hub that is safe and secure.
