Nigeria’s senior women team pair of Asisat Oshoala and Ngozi Okobi assured that the side will play for victory against Senegal in Dakar on Friday.

The reigning African champions are seeking a ticket to the 2016 African Women Cup of Nations and will face the Terranga Lionesses in the final round, first leg tie at the Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor.

Arsenal Ladies forward Oshoala acknowledged disappointment among Nigerians following the Super Eagles’ failure to reach the 2017 Afcon finals and has pledged her side will give everything to qualify.

“We know Nigerians are not happy with the Super Eagles not being able to qualify for AFCON 2017 in Gabon,” Oshoala told Goal.

“So we will do everything possible to make football fans in the country smile again by qualifying for the [women’s] Nations Cup.”

Still gutted by the Super Falcons’ failure to qualify for the Olympics, Okobi who recently joined Vittsjo GIK of Sweden told Goal that her side will be unstoppable against Bassouare Diaby’s ladies.

“We are very prepared for Senegal. We are not scared of them though we are not underrating them either,” she told Goal.

“We want to make Nigerians proud again. I don’t see any threat in Senegal despite what happened during the Olympic qualifiers. I don’t think they can stop us,” she concluded.
