A Lagos based lawyer Charles Ajiboye has decried the level of corruption in the country.
Speaking on Radio Lagos Programme in Ikeja, Ajiboye said corruption had become endemic and had eaten deep into the Fabric of the society.
Ajiboye noted that corruption had so permeated every facet of the social life of an average Nigerian that it had given the country a bad image among the committee of nations.
Also speaking on the programme, the State Chairman of the Trade Union Congress TUC, Hakeen Kazeem charged Nigerians to co-operate and support President Muhammadu Buhari in his anti-corruption crusade.
According to Kazeem, Buhari’s attitude had shown that his zero-tolerance to corruption was not mere rhetorics.
He therefore urged President Buhari to religiously enforce the law on corruption and bring all culprits to book.
The duo also recommended life imprisonment for political office holders involved in corrupt practices instead of the death penalty bang canvassed by some labour unions.
