The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu and the Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Maikanti Baru, on Monday denied arrangements to build the pump cost of petrol.
Two of them addressed State House reporters in the wake of meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Inquired as to whether there will be any augmentation, Baru who was the first to rise up out of the meeting, said “There is nothing like that.”
The GMD, nonetheless, guided the journalists to go to the Petroleum Product Pricing and Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) for further elucidation on the issue.
Pushed on the issue by State House journalists, he asked, “have you seen any notice to that impact?”
Oil marketers as of late undermined to build pump cost in perspective of Forex lack.
