First ever global Science-Policy Forum to Hold in Nairobi

The United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) will on 19th and 20th of May 2016 host delegates at the first ever global Science-Policy Forum in Nairobi, Kenya.

The forum is part of the overall programme for the second session of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-2) which will take place between 23rd and 27th May 2016.

The Forum will present an opportunity for the science community to engage with the policy-makers and have a constructive dialogue on the science and knowledge required to support informed decision-making and deliver on the environmental dimension of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

UNEP informed that “a number of high-level and inspirational speakers will address various sessions of the Forum.’

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes its implementation and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment.
