Speaking today at the Al Ula Conference for Emerging Market Economies in Riyadh, Edun addressed a high-level panel titled: Fiscal Policy in a Shock-Prone World. During the session, he emphasized that the nation’s current fiscal trajectory is designed to withstand international market pressures while fostering domestic consistency.

“Nigeria’s macroeconomic and fiscal reforms are working. Momentum must be maintained, and the benefits channeled towards long-term growth and resilience,” Edun stated.

The Minister further explained that the federal government is currently leveraging digital tools to improve revenue assurance and transparency. He noted that the administration is focused on deepening the coordination between fiscal and monetary authorities while adopting more realistic budgeting practices to ensure lasting fiscal discipline.
