Dream Project for Africa (DPA), a community committed to promoting democratic ideals in Africa have announced its intention to present a report on its research to President Muhammadu Buhari come May 2016.
The official research report is the progeny of a year-long campaign tagged “End Sexual Harassment and Bribery in Nigerian Colleges.”
Areas covered by the report include; academic corruption, lassa fever, terrorism and it is tipped to boost government’s efforts at rebuilding the crashing educational system.
Declaring the organisation’s intention to meet the president by May, DPA founder and initiator of the project, Mr. Oluwabukola Michael Nelson said the meeting is in a bid to keep the national community and the government updated on the successes of its year-long campaign.
Highlighting the progress so far, Olubukola explained that the organisation has provided free consultation worth N20 million in logistics and human hour on behalf of the government and has contributed to resolving issues ranging from academic corruption to fight against terrorism.
He noted that the effort has ‘been able to reignite the hope of Africans living abroad in coming back to their motherland to rebuild its walls.’
As part of activities for the second year, DPA will launch its second annual campaign with a focus on the importance and benefits of taxation.
The organisation will also host a media conference and a Tweetchat with the hashtag #jointhethinking on Friday, May 13, 2016. Issues such as the future of African leaders and the economic and social disasters caused by corruption will surface at the conference.
In addition, DPA will hold a rally of change in Abuja by May, 2016 and pay visits to political and civilian leaders.
