After the tragic National Immigration Service recruitment exams on the 15th of March 2014 where over 20 promising young Nigerians lost their lives and many others sustained varying degrees of injuries, civil society organisations like the Center for Democracy and Development (CDD), Brekete Family Radio, Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA) and the Say No Campaign-Nigeria are hosting a Citizens Public Hearing on Wednesday the 16th of April, 2014 at Dennis Hotel, Abuja.
Young people that participated in the exams have been urged to make submissions at the public hearing by registering their names on or before Tuesday the 15th of April at the Brekete Family Radio, Abuja or email written submissions to saynonigeria@gmail.com, yiagaafrica@gmail.com or yiaga@yiaga.org.
The reports gotten from this Hearing will be used for advocacy against impunity and forwarded to the President, Goodluck Jonathan, Senate President David Mark and Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt Hon Aminu Tambuwal for appropriate actions to be taken.
Members of the panel are President of Brekete Family Radio, Ordinary Ahmad Isah, Director Centre for Democracy and Development and Associate Legal Officer for Africa , Open Society Justice Initiative, Mr Stanley Ibe.
