The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has signed the National Peace Accord, committing the party to issue-based campaigns ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
Yilwatda signed the accord on behalf of the APC at the first signing ceremony held in Abuja, where political parties and their candidates pledged to promote peaceful and issue-driven campaigns.
Tinubu Signs Through SGF
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate, also endorsed the Peace Accord through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume.
The signing brings political parties and candidates together under a commitment to conduct the 2027 election campaigns peacefully and focus on issues that matter to Nigerians.
The APC chairman’s participation reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the National Peace Accord and a peaceful electoral process ahead of the 2027 polls.
