…175 SMEs from 12 Countries to Benefit from Hybrid Training Focused on Regional, Global Agribusiness Export Markets

The Africa Leadership Foundation (ALF), in collaboration with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), has announced the launch of Cohort 3 of its Agribusiness Export Readiness Training Programme—a strategic capacity-building initiative designed to elevate the competitiveness of African small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in regional and global export markets.

175 SMEs Selected Across 12 Countries

This latest cohort brings together 175 promising agribusiness SMEs from 12 African countries, with a targeted focus on East Africa, while also including selected participants from other regions. The program will be delivered through a hybrid model, combining the convenience of virtual learning with the immersive benefits of in-person training in Kampala, Uganda.

Strengthening Export Capacity and Intra-African Trade

The Agribusiness Export Readiness Training Programme is tailored to:

  • Enhance SMEs’ export preparedness and international market competitiveness

  • Promote intra-African trade and economic integration

  • Empower businesses to leverage opportunities under the AfCFTA and ATG frameworks

In addition to the core training modules, participants will gain access to:

  • Post-training expert advisory services

  • Customized trade finance solutions

  • Specialized support to meet quality assurance and compliance standards
