Youths in Ifako-Ijaiye local government of Lagos state have drummed support for a Lagos State House of Assembly aspirant, Temitope Adewale Jah, as the candidate to reposition and bring development to the local government.
The youths under the aegis of Movement for Good Governance (MGG) said the need for the support is borne out of the desire to see the growth of the Local government which has been placed on hold for a long time. Secretary of the group, Emmanual Yusuf, said the group, made up of over
1,200 members from the various wards in the local government, have unanimously agreed to endorse Temitope as their sole candidate for the house of assembly post, due to his doggedness, youthfulness, resourcefulness and his listening ears. He is a youth like us, hence we can challenge him on all fronts if things are not going well.
“2019 will be about charting a new course in the political terrain in Ifako Ijaiye. We will dispense the old force and usher in young and vibrant minds who will be ready to deliver the dividends of political gains to our youths.
“The youths are the future of every nation and Nigeria is no exception. The time has come for youths to strategically position themselves during the 2019 general elections. We have got a lot of potentials in our youths and we must be ready to maximize that potential. We are using Temitope Adewale Jah as a stepping stone for youths to start taking the mantle of leadership,”he concluded.
