The Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) has urged nations to be steadfast in ensuring implementation of the agreement while thanking delegates and lovers of safe climate for the successful completion of the Conference of Parties (CoP21).
The organisation which organized series of events at the conference in Paris said the delegates have displayed a high level of dedication, commitment, solidarity and team work in the ‘New Spirit of Climate and Environmental Justice in Africa.’
Urging all to make safe climate priority, the Kenya-based organisation noted that it is not too early for countries to start the implementation process.
In a statement of appreciation, PACJA stated that it has commenced an analysis of the agreement.
“As the stage is now set for the Postmortem (analysis) of the Paris Agreement from different quarters of the its gains and losses of which PACJA have started doing since the release of the adopted Agreement and will provide the detail soonest, we will like to remind us all that the work has just began. Let our voices matched with actions roars from the grassroots (communities) to local, national, sub-regional, regional to the international levels until we are heard and actions taken. For this course, PACJA remains resolute and in line we our global climate justice anthem -we are unstoppable, another world is possible! Climate Justice Now! System Change Not Climate Change!” the statement read.
PACJA is an African coalition of civil society organizations that promotes and advocates for climate-friendly and equity-based development
