The English Premier League leaders, Manchester City, has officially announced 20.48 million pounds profit earned from its hard work in 2015/16 season against the backdrop of 10.45 million pounds after-tax profit recorded in 2014/15 footballing year.
The profit signifies about 11% rise in the revenue generated by the Ethiad giants which was bought by the billionaire Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed in 2009.
According to the Club, the profit increased as a result of the City’s finest run ever in the history of football as it clinched semifinal spot in the UEFA Champions League in 2015/16 season.
The Manchester United rivals also recorded amazing match day revenue as the expanded the capacity of their stadium to 55, 000 seats for the commencement of 2015/16 soccer term.
And, the sales of players yielded revenue of about 20.7 million pounds against the previous 12.9 million pounds recorded in the previous season.
The Club Chairman, Khaldoon Al Mubarak reported that “Manchester City has now reached a level of sporting and commercial maturity that allows one to feed the other.”
