The Lagos State Police Command has released an updated directory of emergency phone numbers and direct contacts of senior officers across its Area Commands, urging residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities to security agencies.
The command disclosed this in a public security advisory shared on its official X account, where it published a comprehensive telephone directory containing the contact details of senior police officers, including Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) and Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs), serving in various Area Commands across the state.
According to the directory, the listed contacts cover Area Commands A through P, including strategic locations such as Lion Building, Apapa, Surulere, Alagbado, Ikeja, Festac, Ikorodu, Badagry, and other parts of Lagos State.
The initiative is aimed at improving public access to police channels and strengthening communication between residents and law enforcement authorities.
The command said the updated directory forms part of efforts to enhance community policing and ensure that members of the public can easily reach appropriate officers when reporting security concerns, emergencies, or suspicious activities within their localities.
Accompanying the release, the police reiterated the importance of public participation in maintaining security, stressing that safety remains a collective responsibility.
“Security is a collective responsibility. When you see something, say something. Promptly report suspicious persons, movements, or activities,” the command stated.
The police further noted that timely information from residents can assist security agencies in preventing crime, responding swiftly to emergencies, and safeguarding lives and property across the state.
The publication of the updated telephone directory comes amid ongoing efforts by security agencies to strengthen community engagement and encourage greater cooperation between citizens and law enforcement personnel in tackling crime and other security challenges.
The Lagos State Police Command urged residents to save the emergency numbers, remain alert to developments within their communities, and continue supporting security agencies with credible and timely information.
It added that sustained vigilance and cooperation among residents, community leaders, and security personnel would contribute significantly to keeping Lagos safe and secure for all.
