In a bid to promote local action for global sustainability and support cities to become sustainable, resilient, resource-efficient, biodiverse and low carbon with the ultimate aim of achieving healthy and happy communities, ICLEI and partners have released a teaser video inviting cities and regions to submit their most ambitious cross cutting and inclusive climate projects to tap-potential.org.

Transformative Actions Program (TAP) is developed by ICLEI and partners and it aims to highlight and accelerate local climate action by collecting and showcasing up to 100 of the ambitious climate projects.

It will also improve access to funding for cities and regions and will increase their engagement in national and global climate negotiations.

“Local government network and other partners have developed TAP to help cities and regions have access to funding and increase their involvement in climate change negotiations. We will be showcasing the top 100 projects at the cities and regions pavilion at COP21 in Paris.”

ICLEI-local government for sustainability is the world’s leading association of more than 100 metropolises, cities, urban regions and towns representing over 600 million people in 85 countries.
