In a major political alignment ahead of the next general elections, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf hosted federal political appointees from the state alongside key leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Government House Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.
The high-profile meeting, organized under the auspices of the Tinubu Renewed Hope Appointees Forum (Kano State Chapter), served as a strategic platform for key APC stakeholders to deliberate on the party’s future and consolidate its electoral prospects in Kano State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Stakeholders Endorse President Tinubu
A major highlight of the gathering was the unanimous decision by the forum to pass a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. According to a statement released by the Spokesperson to the Kano State Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the endorsement serves as a formal recognition of the President’s unwavering commitment to the development of Kano State and the nation at large.
“The forum unanimously passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in recognition of his commitment to the development of Kano State and the nation,” Dawakin Tofa stated, emphasizing the synergy between the federal and state leadership.
Galvanizing Support for the Renewed Hope Agenda
Looking forward to the next political cycle, the stakeholders formally pledged to mobilize massive grassroots support for President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima to secure a resounding victory in Kano during the 2027 presidential election.
The appointees and party leaders also used the opportunity to congratulate Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his deputy, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on emerging as the APC governorship candidates for Kano State.
In a joint resolution, the attendees reaffirmed their absolute commitment to driving the implementation of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda while expressing full support for Governor Yusuf’s developmental Kano First Agenda. The stakeholders resolved to work in complete unity to guarantee a clean sweep for the APC across the presidential, governorship, National Assembly, and State Assembly elections in Kano State.
