The Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials, COWLSO, has decided to put up programmes that will change the lives of Women in the State for the better.
The Wife of Lagos State Governor, Bolanle Ambode said today that the theme for this year’s COWLSO conference “Relevance in Economic Turbulence” was very apt because Nigeria was currently going through economic challenges.
She stated that the programme would come up between 16th and 18th September while participants would be expected to learn how to address economic challenges and add value to their lives.
The Wife of the Governor also urged Women to be confident in facing challenges so as to bring succuor to their families and the Society.
In a related development,Chairman, Planning Committee of COWLSO, Rhoda Ayinde said the Committee had constructed buildings for Primary and Secondary Schools, sponsored Women suffering from cancer for health care services as well as provided ICT Centres for Schools in Epe.
She said aside from the conference, the committee organised programmes for Women at various Communities, and COWLSO members were also encouraged to support Women and Youths in their localities aside from corporate impartation.
Ayinde said the Government could not do it alone, urging Women to support the State Government in making life comfortable for the citizens.
Public Secretary of the Committee, Ladun Ogunbanwo said a lot of programmes had been put together in motivating Women about health and wealth creation to be able to manage unpleasant economic situation.
She said Women would benefit a lot from the conference, as they would be thought how to keep the home front.
