BUA Foods Appoints Khalifa Rabiu as Chief Officer of Global Procurement

BUA Foods Plc has officially announced the appointment of Isyaku Abdulsamad Rabiu, popularly known as Khalifa, as the company’s new Chief Officer of Global Procurement and Strategic Operations.

In this executive role, Rabiu is expected to lead initiatives aimed at strengthening supply chain resilience, optimizing operational costs, and driving sustainable growth for the food business. His professional background includes extensive experience across the food, cement, and animal feed sectors.

Prior to this appointment, Rabiu served as the Director of Special Operations for BUA Group. During that tenure, he oversaw critical raw material procurement, with a specific focus on wheat sourcing to ensure supply continuity. He was also instrumental in the development of a 40 metric tonne-per-hour animal feed mill and managed the commercial relaunch of BUA Rice Mills, which saw the return of BUA rice products to the Nigerian consumer market.

Regarding the appointment, a spokesperson for the Board of BUA Foods Plc stated, “Khalifa is an accomplished leader with a strong record of driving strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risk.”

Rabiu holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Regent’s University London and a Master’s in Management from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
