Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has appointed the Chairman Community Development Advisory Council in Lagos State, Tajudeen Quadri, as the Senior Special Assistant on Community Development Affairs.
The Governor made this known at a meeting with Executives of Community Development Council in the State, held at the Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja.
Ambode urged them to remain steadfast as his administration had promised to place community development at the heart of the state adding that he would tour the communities as soon as possible.
The Governor said government alone could not provide their needs, tasking them to complement its efforts since he had taken steps to ensure inclusive governance.
Earlier, Chairman of the Advisory Council in the State, urged the state government to give them adequate recognition and review the law of the CDAs to enforce communal decisions.
Quadri also said government should involve them in projects affecting the community.
