Bola Ahmed Tinubu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been declared winner of the February 25, 2023 presidential election.
Tinubu was declared winner by Professor Mahmood Yakubu, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in the early hours of Wednesday, March 1, 2023.
He emerged winner after polling 8,794,726 votes and having satisfied the law required, according to the INEC Chairman.
The former governor of Lagos State beat his opponents, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 6,984,520 votes.
Also, Peter Obi of Labour Party (LP) who polled 6,101,533 votes and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) who polled 1,496,687 votes.
