Amina Ali Nkeki, one of the Chibok girls rescued from the Boko Haram camp, has revealed that she misses her terrorist husband three months after escaping the camp.
Amina Ali and her four-month-old baby were rescued in May near Damboa in Borno state by soldiers and a civilian vigilante group, more than two years after being kidnapped by Boko Haram insurgents from the Government Secondary School (GSS) in Chibok.
Her husband, identified as Mohammed Hayatu at the time of their escape, told a witness that he too had been kidnapped by Boko Haram.
He was placed in military detention for interrogation by Nigeria’s joint intelligence center.
The 21-year-old and her child have since been hidden away in a house in Abuja for what the Nigerian government called a “restoration process”.
Amina Ali says she has no idea where he is now and is keen to be reunited with him.
“I’m not comfortable with the way I’m being kept from him”, she said at an undisclosed location in Abuja Tuesday.
